golf. I have got 2008 1.9 TDI golf 5 GT sport with 77KW, 6 manual transmission. Engine it is BXE. Now I got in car Shell Helix 5w30. In service book it says that for my car it is oil with specification VW 507 00, VW 506 01, or VW 505 01. I also read something about DPF filters. Does 1.9 TDI Golf 5 2007-2008 got that filter?
The 1.9 is the old 8 valve unit and the 2 litre is a redesigned 16 valve. The 1.9 is cheaper to run and repair. Both suffer dual mass flywheel and turbo failure but the 1.9 is cheaper in both cases. The 1.9 is 105PS and can be re-mapped to around 140 and the 2 litre is 140 and will easily go to 170PS.
